Travel Décor: Brighid on Isle of Lewis

Easter this year was spent exploring the Outer Hebrides in Scotland, more specifically driving around the Isles of Lewis and Harris (read more about that in last week’s Monthly Recap blog below). Our ‘home away from home’ for the long weekend was Brighid, a brand-new Airbnb located on the west coast near the very top of the island. Described as a ‘home on the edge of the ocean’ Brighid delivers exactly what is says, a remote serene spot overlooking the water surrounded by only a few houses and miles of rural land.

Brighid was designed by the award-winning Architectural studio Brown & Brown Architects, whose signature style appears and feels both contemporary and elegant with an emphasis on keeping their carbon impact to a minimum. Brown and Brown Architects have designed unique homes in urban and rural environments focused on ‘forging a connection between inhabitants and surroundings.’

Brighid showcases their modern yet warm design with contemporary architectural features, minimalistic interiors as well as smaller décor touches that allow a sense of cosiness and tranquillity. The huge windows that face the ocean side of the property mean you are captivated by the outdoors, whether it be the glowing sunsets, crashing waves or grazing sheep.

If you fancy a stay in this gorgeous Airbnb, check out their page in the link below – and enjoy!
