Travel Décor: Oku Kos

Having just got back from a holiday to Kos, I have been inspired to start a Travel Décor series on my blog where I can share the stylish interiors of any hotels or locations I visit. It feels so nice to be able to travel freely again after a few years of uncertainty, cancellations, and general chaos around the world. This was my first holiday abroad in a few years and I was so happy & lucky to be able to visit the stunning Oku Kos Hotel.

The Oku brand has a general vibe and aesthetic that feels minimal, rustic, modern and oh so trendy. Lots of concrete, palm trees, neutral colour tones and natural textures that enhance your sense of calm, space, and relaxation.

Our room at Oku ticked all the contemporary boho boxes with rattan lamps, wooden décor furnishings and an ultra-modern concrete bathroom with matt black finishes. It felt cool, calm, and very sophisticated resulting in an ultra relaxing and chilled out holiday mode.

Clean-lined furniture combines with rough, natural textures, and exotic accessories to create the perfect down-time sanctuary, with slow-living, mindfulness and minimalism at its core

Oku Kos

Oku describes their hotel as a ‘beach hideaway inspired by the Greek way of life’ as they take inspiration from traditional island architecture. ‘OKU Kos has a village-like feel with one and two-storey cubist houses grouped around gardens and patios, where large terraces extend into private outdoor space’.

An atmosphere that channels mindfulness and a slow place of life

Elegant Resorts

Oku also have a hotel in Ibiza and there are more idyllic locations coming soon in Bali, Miami and of course Mykonos.
