Monthly Recap – June

DORNOCH

The Platinum Jubilee weekend was spent in the north of Scotland near the lovely, picturesque town of Dornoch. There were so many celebrations and events going on, and the best bit was finally getting some summer sunshine. Dornoch has a brilliant selection of delicious restaurants, interesting antique and boutique shops as well as stunningly expansive yet tranquil beaches.

DUNROBBIN CASTLE

Not far from Dornoch, further north on the outskirts of Golspie is Dunrobin Castle. Sitting high beside the east coast overlooking the Moray Firth, it features fairy-tale style architecture and beautiful gardens. The interiors are majestic with large scale rooms, grand staircases, and opulent design details such as wood panelled walls and marble fireplaces.

PINK & PEACH PINECONES

The newest addition to my Etsy shop – Jalan Interior, are these cheerfully painted pinecones. Previously only available in a muted green and off white, I have gone all summery and selected a mixture of pink and peach tones. They are the perfect country inspired boost of joy and vibrancy to add in a decorative bowl on a shelf, desk, or coffee table.
